My mind at work

In no particular order, a list of thoughts that have run through my mind at some point today:

  • I wish people would stop commenting on the size of my coffee mug.
  • Damn you green candy canes and your siren song of goodness.  I wish I could quit you.
  • It is too quiet in here today.  I feel like I’m at the library.
  • HOLY HELL.  Who would eat something that smells so disgusting?
  • What a crappy day to have forgotten to charge my iPod.
  • Seriously, people, what is it to YOU what size coffee mug I use?
  • Why must we always have that freaking fan running when it is actually COLD outside?
  • I think it is even quieter than the library.  More like working in a cemetery, although admittedly less creepy.
  • Hello, random new person.  Nice to meet you too, and I am sorry to inform you that yes, we do have to provide our own coffee mugs.  Be prepared to have people offer unsolicited comments on the size you choose.
  • How is it possible for the quiet to be so distracting?  What I wouldn’t give for a screaming monkey slingshot right about now.
  • Hot chocolate:  good in theory, gross in actuality.
  • Damn PTA and the request for volunteers!  I can ignore a mass e-mail but when you ask me specifically I am going to have to say yes.  And I’m sure that is your evil plan.  BAH.
  • I wonder if the crunching of pretzels is as loud to everyone else as it is to me.  Not that it will stop me from eating them.  CRUNCH CRUNCH.
  • “The Beef Checkoff”.  Hee!
  • Finally!  Someone turned on a radio to combat the stifling silence.  Where was this person when my iPod died before lunch?
  • I really need to get some work done.

I love the screaming monkey slingshot. My mom has one in her first grade class and she can pretty much bribe them to do anything if the reward is getting to watch her sling it across the room.

Pretty soon you guys will be working in a cemetery, or at least right next to one.
