He says it’s very colorful; it doesn’t take much to entertain him. Congrats to little Miss T! I have to brag, myself (my first as a new mom!!!): Nathan rolled over from his tummy to his back last night. He did it twice and then I got the video camera out (Daddy was out of town; I had to have proof!) and he did it again. Guess I can’t leave him on the changing table…. not that I have ever done that!

Yay for the rolling over! Time to stop placing her on countertops and walking away! Or am I the only one who did that?

How could I have married someone with such radically different tastes from me? You don’t like it because nothing blows up and Willy Wonka is a smart-ass.
I agree the boat scene was a bit much, but otherwise it’s a great film. I really liked it as a kid. I still like it today. The basic plot and all of the eye candy (pun!) are there for the young ones, but some of the side dialogue between the film’s adult characters is sheer brilliance.
As Mr. Wonka told Mr. Salt, “a little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.”
