Wed, 04 Feb 2009 16:14:07 +0000http://www.nonsoccermom.com/?p=886#comment-2524thanks for the answers…we don’t do much for Valentine’s day either (partly because of what Emily said about not wanting to wait hours and not wanting to have to pay more for the same thing — melting pot does that ‘valentine’s special’ whatever), but I was so excited the first time I got flowers from K.
my work makes no sense to anyone either, and its so detail oriented I could scream sometimes, but actually is really a great type of work for me to do, once i can stop explaining that ‘research’ does not mean it involves mice…

VERY little, but I think enough to get me around as a tourist. Plus I’ve always been fascinated by Russian history.

Tue, 03 Feb 2009 15:22:44 +0000http://www.nonsoccermom.com/?p=886#comment-2517Russia? That is an odd choice. I think that would be like the last place on my list. What am I missing out on? It just seems so cold and sad there. Am I wrong?
Thanks for answering my question!

Tue, 03 Feb 2009 03:40:08 +0000http://www.nonsoccermom.com/?p=886#comment-2515I spent 5 weeks in Russia during my senior year of college. I got 3 days in Kiev, 3 1/2 weeks in Moscow and 5 days in St. Petersburg. It was amazing and eye opening. At least I got to use my 16 hours of college Russian for something. Unlike my B.A. in Sociology. Oh well, I enjoyed my college classes anyways.

Tue, 03 Feb 2009 03:03:06 +0000http://www.nonsoccermom.com/?p=886#comment-2514Joe and I have to remember to ask each other “Are we doing anything for Valentine’s Day?” or “Are we getting each other gifts for Valentine’s Day?” We don’t usually do anything fancy, mainly because we don’t want to have to wait 3 hours for a table at Olive Garden!! Although this year we are in for a treat. My inlaws want to take Nate for the weekend so we can do what we want on our time. The biggest thing we can think of to do is to sleep in past 7am!!!!! I’m trying to think of a good question for you. Can’t really think of one so this will have to do: if you could have a super power, what would it be?

Mon, 02 Feb 2009 22:21:53 +0000http://www.nonsoccermom.com/?p=886#comment-2510Thank you, that is the ammunition I needed. Someone in my house has a touch of baby fever (it’s pretty obvious, but he totally denies it when confronted), although he’s not the one who will actually be pregnant, or up all night, or changing dirty diapers, or having a small human chew on his boob, so I’m trying to dissuade him.
And I feel better that we are not alone in our non-celebration of Valentine’s Day.

Mon, 02 Feb 2009 22:20:59 +0000http://www.nonsoccermom.com/?p=886#comment-2509Ah, my husband. Ever the smartass. I did actually consider spreading the questions out and making multiple posts, but then I decided not to. And it is my blog so I can do what I like.
And as for your opinions of MY favorite TV shows, yeah, I like Star Trek: TNG and JAG. However, a lot of JAG episodes are too talky and boring for me and you’ve commented many times on how picky I am about the episodes of TNG that I’ll watch, so I don’t think either of those warrants a spot in the Top Five.
By the way, do I come over to your blog and harass YOU? NO I DO NOT. 🙂
