Well, after my last super-ranty post, I thought maybe it was time for something a little more fun. And a lot more appreciative. So I have stolen this idea from Pickles and Dimes, a blog that I have just recently discovered but totally adore. Here is the list of things I love (not including items related to the obvious – kids, significant other, and pets).
I love the feel of fresh crisp sheets. I love taking dance classes. I love getting the mail and finding something fun like a postcard from a friend or a magazine. I love the feeling of accomplishment that comes from finishing up a big proposal at work. I love relaxing on the couch with my husband after the kids are safely tucked into bed. I love working on our scrapbook when I’m feeling inspired and creative. I love arriving at the airport at the start of a vacation. I love traveling by plane. I love I can haz cheezburger. I love my house. I love the paint colors in my kitchen and the prints I have on the walls in there. I love fried shrimp. I love warm weather. I love going to the zoo. I love studying foreign languages. I love the fish bowl I have on my desk at work. I love shopping for new clothes when I can actually buy some. I love writing in my journal every night before bed. I love banana pudding. I love taking long hot bubble baths while reading a magazine. I love my enormous closet. I love finding fun new blogs to read. I love bad horror movies. I love Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. I love putting away that very last item from a basket previously full of clean laundry. I love vacuuming. I love lists. I love finding ways to save money on groceries. I love the place on my grocery receipt where it shows me exactly how much money I saved. I love chicken fajita nachos with lots of sour cream. I love getting to leave the kids with my parents and go on a date with my husband. I love movie trivia. I love my Toyota 4Runner. I love frozen margaritas with no salt. I love the Riverwalk in San Antonio. I love getting together with my high school girlfriends for our annual dinner. I love watching movies in bed. I love getting e-mail from someone I haven’t heard from in a while. I love eating out. I love animals. I love citrus-scented candles. I love Christmas. I love Chick-fil-a. I love taking naps. I love going to Disney World. I love looking at our photo albums and finished scrapbooks. I love my life.
