AE is going out of town again this weekend, for yet another two-week grandparent visit.  (We’re saving an assload of money on daycare, in case you are wondering.)  I love AE but I have to admit I am looking forward to the break.  Because in the last week or so he has not stopped talking.  Now, I know I talk a lot but OH MY WORD.  Even I can’t hold a candle to this kid.

So I’m going to Nonna’s house on Saturday?  Why Saturday?  Why not Sunday?  I want to go to the zoo! Can we go to the zoo?  Will Nonna and Grandpa take me to the zoo?  What is two plus seven?  Am I going to be at Nonna’s for eight days?  After Independence Day, right?  And then I’m going to Grandma’s?  OHHHH, my stomach hurts.  Because I haven’t peed in a long time.  [Ed. note:  ??]  Is it time for my medicine?  Why don’t I need medicine anymore?  Oh!  It’s time for bed!  What are we going to read about tonight?  I want to read about planet Earth.  Where is my Junior Encyclopedia?  Wait!  What are you doing?  That little towel is Dinosaur’s blanket!!  I mean nap mat.  No, blanket.  That doesn’t go in there!  I’m not going to tear this book, it isn’t falling apart.  Only the other one is falling apart, why are you saying that this one is too?   Don’t move that over there.  Can we read out of this book tomorrow?  Can I have a drink of water?

It’s like living with the damn Riddler.  So have fun, suckers Nonna and Grandpa!  See you on the 19th!
